A: Call the parish office to get the initial information on the baptism, meet for a baptism preparation session, choose a date, and a mass time.
A: There is an initial meeting, a FOCCUS questionnaire and get-togther, and marriage preparation workshop to attend through the Green Bay Diocese. You will need your baptismal certified certificates also if you are Catholic. Contact the parish office!
A: There is a process called RCIA which is a head and heart kind of adventure into learning about the faith and getting closer to God in our hearts. Check out the information on the Sacrament Page!
A: There are several people who are able to bring Communion to the homebound. Contact the parish office.
Q. What is a parish director? The parish director appointed by the Bishop is Karen Nesbit.
She is authorized to share in the exercise of pastoral care of the parish.
She is responsible for the following:
- Spiritual and pastoral outreach to the faithful
- Collaborates with parish pastoral council, trustees and finance council.
- Recruits lay ministers and provides for their formation
- Utilizes the experience and wisdom of the appointed Priest Moderator
- Oversees the preparation of liturgies, and oversees the preparation of adults and children for the reception of the sacraments.
- Takes an active role during the liturgical celebrations in the parish.
- Presides at Liturgy of the Word during the week and in an emergency on the weekend when a priest is not available.
- May give reflection at Mass and other liturgies according to Liturgical Norms including funerals and weddings.
- Ordinary administration of parish including signing of checks, preparing the budget in concert with the trustees, maintains parish records required by diocese, and provides supervision and oversight of staff and volunteers.
- Directs all aspects of parish life with pastoral team and volunteers.
- Collaborates with religious education personnel, visits parishioners in hospitals, nursing homes and homebound and coordinates volunteers to do the same.

Q. What is a sacramental minister? Rev. Joseph Mattern is the saramental minister. Each parish with a Parish Director is served by a priest who serves as a Sacramental Minister appointed by the bishop. The Sacramental Minister:
- Celebrates Masses
- Anoints the sick, celebrates funeral masses, and presides at all Eucharistic celebrations
- By appointment possess the necessary faculties to witness marriages and confirm the adults whom he baptizes or receives into full communion.
- Represents the parish in ministerial associations, ecumenical relations, and community events.

Q. What is a priest moderator? Fr. Robert Stegmann is the priest moderator for St. Mark and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parishes. He will represent the parish in all juridical affairs of the parish such as:
- Requesting proxies (for land and projects over $50,000)
- Signing of deeds, bills of sale, and promissory notes
He is considered the vice-president of the parish corporation.
- He reviews the annual parish report and budget.
- He relates as much as is practical with the parish community. Fr. Stegmann is the pastor of St. Joseph’s in Wautoma and in addition is the priest moderator for four parishes.
- He is an officer of the civil corporation of the parish and is to be present for the annual meeting of the parish.
