The Catholic Cemeteries of the diocese of Green Bay are called to bury our loved ones in accordance with the teaching of the Catholic Church.  We dedicate ourselves to the sacred religious function of the burial of our dead.  We are committed to prayer and devotion for our deceased sisters and brothers.  We proclaim through words, work and example, the sacredness of the human body, belief in the resurrection of the body and everlasting life.

Information

Lease cost for a gravesite:

 $300 for members

$400 for nonmembers

*This lease price includes the  perpetual care for the gravesite.

*One Plot equal 12 gravesites.

 *Graves are reserved for those who have paid in advance. 

Hours:  Visitation is during the daylight hours during the summer.  In the winter there is limited plowing .

Cremains:

There may be up to two cremains  placed in a single gravesite. 

Caskets:

Requirements of burial vaults:  All caskets must be enclosed in cement or stainless steel vaults.  The container for creamins must be of a permanent character and of unbreakable material.

Cemetery Decoration Rules:

Decorations not maintained or badly faded will be removed. 

Summer decorations are to be removed by October 15th. 

Winter decorations are to be removed by April 15th. 

Live flowers may be planted on the gravesite to the extent of twelve inches from the stone and no wider than the width of the stone.  

The following decorations are not allowed:  trees, shrubs, grave blankets, freestanding statues, or glass.



FAQ:  Do you have to be Catholic to be buried in this cemetery?  NO

Monuments and Headstones:

All monuments must have a footing under them (two feet deep) with the stone at the head of the grave and must be placed within the particular boundaries of the gravesite.  One headstone or monument per gravesite.   Other markers must be flush with the ground. 


Grave Opening

Grave opening costs are $600 payable at the time of burial.  Winter openings will incur additional expenses based on frost levels, snow removal and weather conditions. 

Burial permits are required by state law for all burials. 

Notice needed to open a grave:  2-3 days weather permitting.
