Barb Breest
Religious Education Facilitator
I have been the religious education facilitator for Sacred
Heart and St. Mark parishes since 2007 and
became a full member of the Catholic faith in 1982 after ten years of marriage.
I am certified as advanced catechist
through the Green Bay Diocese and continue education in the Ministry Formation
Program.
I worked 12 years in the
traditional religious education for children at St. Peter & Paul Parish in
Weyauwega. I also worked for the Weyauwega School District in the office.
Currently, we have a blended program that is intergenerational. Both parishes meet at St. Mark for one big GOF session and a second time with their grade levels. The best part of the
Generations of Faith program is that it involves the whole parish including adults, children and their parents.
My husband, Scott, and I have three grown children and two
granddaughters. We have lived in this
area for thirty years and are members of Sacred Heart Parish.
At church you will often see me playing music
for the masses. At home you can find me
busy in the kitchen baking or cooking. We raise a few beef for the freezer, grow a
big vegetable garden and do canning and freezing of fruits and vegetables. I
like walking and outdoor activities.
